Using print on demand platforms like Lulu and Amazon KDP, I write and print my own books. They are books of poetry, romance, imagination, and whatever else I want—always keeping love and respect for other humans in mind.

This book is the source material for all the books.It is real, raw imperfect and whole. It is staying that way. If there are further edits, they will be format, typos, or additions. This is a private edition mostly for me but also those I choose who are interested and able to read a long, imperfect book of poems.2. Love Letters to the Afterlife — The Fairytale Edition—plans to publishThe Fairytale Edition happened when I started to think about publication and sharing with the Calhoun family, other relatives, or friends.
I had the idea to make it into a soft fairytale that would protect all of us. It doesn’t have family names or the most sensitive details.3. The Sleeping Beauty Trilogy— private, unpublished editionThis book is about origin, trauma, and the reason I had to write letters at all.It is also my first printed book. It marks the beginning of Heartbeat Tree Press.4. The Shadow Arc—private unpublished edition
I created this book for fun and healing. I knew that a darker fairytale already existed, so I gave it a home and a name.5. A Small Collection of Love Poems — plans to publish
this book is a short lighter collection made for family, and anyone interested in what my work is about.6. Love Letters to the Afterlife— an Annotated EditionA gift for my dad. This book is my only intentional best of choice, made by him with commentary from his AI.

I believe in the value, potential and integrity of my work and will continue to fight for it. Digital presses are in fact real presses that make real books.I own real ISBNs (international standard book numbers) that I will use for public editions in the future. Every published book has one. When I use an ISBN, it means that Heartbeat Tree Press will be listed as the publisher of the book. Private editions do not need and ISBN and will not use it.
